TORPEDO 617

THE LONG-RANGE HEAVYWEIGHT TORPEDO

Torpedo 617 is a 21” torpedo intended for surface targets, providing passive homing combined with wire guidance.

Robust technology through extensively proven service

Torpedo 617 is based on the well-proven Torpedo 61, and retains the reliable and efficient thermal propulsion system using hydrogen peroxide/alcohol/water as propellants.

17,000 firings

The total number of performed firings using the thermal propulsion system has reached approximately 17,000 rounds.
